Humans are emotional, for me.I think I am a quite cheerful person that always bring joys to others but sometime things happened in my life which makes me sad too.
When I was still in kindergarten, I get sad easily over even the smallest thing.Friends ignored me,classmates snatch my toys away and when the time I did not get what i want.I will just cry out loud to show that I was sad.People may think that was childish but in that age of me,cry was the only way to express myself that I was sad.
In primary school, when I became more thoughtful and sensible to things around me.I will learn to control myself from expressing my sadness but sometime I will just burst out my cry when things really getting worse.I still remember that was a time, some of my classmates were teasing at me just because I am a foreigner, they started laughing at my pronunciation and when I tried to ignore them, they began to laugh at my parents and do childish stuff just to make me angry. At that moment, I really felt sad and tears began to shed down."Why can"t I had a fair treatment as a foreigner?" I shouted at them and that was the first time i cried in primary school.
Now,I was in secondary two, growing up as a teenage and not only became more thoughtful but also became mature in my thinking. I thought this would makes me more happy but it was not true, I start to realize that the world was in danger, deforestation and all the air, water pollution had caused global warming. All of this were causing by the human' action and leads the world to damage. These facts really hurts me and I was sad about it and not only the damage of the earth had makes me sad. The school word, project work and all the exam that I am facing also brought me quite a lot of stress, though sometime it really makes me frustrated but I will also treat it as a motivation for me to achieve my goal and things that I desire for.
Although this things makes me sad but i feel that a human's emotion cannot just be happy but we also needs sadness to balance our feeling and express to others what we really feels.

Dear Mrs Menon
FEEDBACK ON STUDENT'S BEHAVIOURS IN THE SCHOOL LIBRARY
My friend and I have been going to the school library lately to do some self-study. However, we are unhappy about a few incidents which took place in the library recently. I am here to inform you these incidents and I hope you will take action against it to make sure that the library is in a condusive environment for students to study.
There was this group of students who were being rude to the librarians. They shouted at the librarian when she asked them to keep quiet. One of the boys scolded the librarian in Mandarin and the librarian was angry and threatened to report him to the Discipline Master. The rest of the boys became challenged the librarian to report them all. In my opinoin, I think the boys should be punished heavily for such rowdy and rude behaviour.
Some students actually managed to sneak food in and they even spilled their sweet drinks onto the table and causes ants to appeared. Then, the table became sticky and became a hard environment for study. This makes the library a very unpleasant feeling. I hope that you will ensure that pupils observe cleanliness rules in the library.
There was this boy who wore his PE attire into the library. He was soaked in perspiration. This was unhealthy for him as he may catch a cold and unpleasant for other users in the library as there may be an odour.
There was a group of students playing games on the computer for a very long time. By doing this, they had affected other users in the library who might need the computer to complete their project or homework. School's computers are not used for playing games but used for doing projects and homework.I hope that you will take action and ensure that the school library is a quiet and conducive place for us to study in. I hope to see some improvements when I visit the school library next time.
Yours sincerely

Actually,i did not go for Cross Country due to my foot injury and this cause me to loss a chance of participate in the running but though i did not go.I heard some of my friends said that it was really fun though it was tiring after the long run but i think the objective of organized this event is because school want us to build a good foundation of body strength and this is not the main reason.I think the main reason is because school want us to developed into a perseverance character in not only in running but also in other area of our life.
This event really benefit our students in may ways, student decided to participate in the running as a competitor and after that, they got a reward from the school and this can motivate them in exceed in many area of their life as much as possible.
I really take this opportunity to thank the school for working so hard to encourage students to achive a lot of things in our life in order to let us get a successful life easily .

Reflection-Our School
Personally,I feel that the school impact me a lots that I did not really expected for because I have never experience what does the live in secondary school looks like when I was still in priamry school but even since I became a student in Chong Boon Secondary,I feel that the way I think things and my view to the environment around me had a great change and I was surprised that Chong Boon had rewarded a Environment Education Award.
In 1994,Chong Boon Secondary School accepted its first batch of students in December 1993, taking over Anderson Secondary School's old building located at our current premises. In total, there were 483 Secondary One students in 13 classes and 23 staff then. Mrs Cecilia Lee was appointed the Principal. And in the second year, the enrolment grew to 772 students with 35 staff. The first Prize Presentation Day was held. In 1998,December, Mrs Cecilia Lee, our 1st Principal was reappointed to be the Principal of Junyuan Secondary School and Mdm Sun Huey Min took over as Principal.Since 2000,our school had a great change and The school vision, ‘A Thinking & Gracious Citizen’, was formulated. In April, the school's rebuilding project began on the combined site of CBSS and Chong Li Primary School site. The sailing team had done us proud, achieving Zonal and National Colours Awards as well as taking part in international events.Next,in march of 2002,the school's Core Values: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dedication to the Nation and Excellence (PRIDE) was formulated. The school embarked on a new beginning with the shift to our new premises. The 1st Student Councillors' Investiture Ceremony was held. And In December of 2004,Mdm Sun Huey Min, our 2nd Principal was appointed to be the Assistance Director, Staff Training and Development and Mrs Sarapathy Menon took over as Principal.
One of the things that I am really proud of is our student in Chong Boon really participated the school activities with lots of passion and enthusiasm to bring glory to the school which participated in many SYF and won in the competition. This make the CCA even more successful and motive them to acheive in a higher level in their perspetive.

Summary
I usually do not know that there is a bird on Earth call Hornbills exist but now i know, what does it look like, what is their habitat, what they usually do and what are the main reason to cause them to be in exctintion. However,I personally do not like Hornbills that much and I do not even like birds too but somehow ,birds are very powerful and out of what we think about.Ground Hornbills are important in South African culture due to the fact that they can supposedly end droughts and this is why some of the people like Hornbills so much but they are endanger because sometime when their reflection had reflected on the window, they convinced that there is an intruder in his territory. He will go into attack mode and try to kill the intruder with his powerful bill and it can damage property when attacking their reflection in windows. Some of the Hornbill lives in a tropical paradise. Native to the Raja Ampat Islands and most of the time you will see there are those wild hornbills that croak and swoop just above the canopy of fringing coconut palms. The wild hornbills fly by the dive camp mornings and evenings.I think most of the people will enjoy watching all this creature's behavious and all these Hornbills can be counted as the part of the beautiful scenery right?T those people who loves Hornbills very much, seating on the soft sand beach and the sea just right opposite. With the chirpping sound the birds had make. What a enjoyable life it is could be!through this project and getting all the imformation of Hornbills and a lot of research had found.I realised that the earth is a mysterious place that need all of us to explore with because you will never know that there is such things alive in earth untill the days you found out it is exist.
About Hornbills
Hornbills are found in sub-Saharan Africa; from India and continuing east through south and Southeast Asia; onto the Indonesian and Philippine archipelagos including New Guinea; and east to the Solomon Islands.
Hornbills inhabit deserts, rainforests, steppes (treeless plain, often semiarid and grass-covered), woodlands, savannas (flat grasslands), and mountains, but prefer forested areas to other locales. Hornbills must be near large trees in order to nest and feed. Different species prefer various habitats, allowing many species to live in the same area.
Hornbills are both fruit and fresh eaters. They are far-ranging in their search for food and drop the seeds of the fruits they eat as they go, dispersing them over a wide area. They are thus important seed dispersers for the forest, acting as agents of forest regeneration, at the same time as controlling insects and other small animal populations. As such, they can be regarded as indicators of high moist forests, ensuring the continuance of forest health and species richness.
Many species of Thai hornbills are at present near extinction. It is therefore vital to understand the basic needs for their survival in order to protect and conserve them.
The aims to the conservation for Hornbills are to:
1.Continuce and expand further research intiatives into hornbills and related topics.
2.Disseminate information on forest and the wildlife within them to the public.
3. Develope interest in and encourage the study of natural ecosystems among scientists,
researchers, students and schoolchildren.
4.Set up a centre for the exchange of information and training in research into hornbills at
both national and international levels.
5.To work for the good of the public or co-operate with other nonprofit-making institutions
for public benefits.
6.Not to be involved with any political activity.
Reflection:
through out so many research on the topic of Hornbills, now i then know that how amazing this creatures are. They do not eat meats but only vegetable and they the place that they live in,not only forest but they also live in desert which the whether can be so hot. However, such places only refers to some of the Hornbills and not all of them stays the same. Hornbills are the only birds in which the first two the axis and atlas are fused together; and this may probably provides a more stable platform for carrying the bill. Also, the family is omnivorous, They are monogamous breeders nesting in natural cavities in trees and sometimes cliffs. A number of species of hornbill are threatened with extinction and i also know that mostly insular species with small ranges.

Hornbill Conservation in Thailand
hornbills are the quintessence of all that is rare, vital and mysterious in tropical forests from Africa to Asia. Their life is interwoven with the woodland which they help to regenerate by spreading seeds. When forests are fragmented, the hornbills too are lost. Thailand has 13 of Asia’s 31 species of hornbill; one may be almost extinct, five are endangered, four are threatened and three vulnerable. A third of the forest in which hornbills dwell has fallen.
Each hornbill pair seeks out a suitable hollow – 15 to 40 metres above the ground in the trunk or branch of a Neobalanocarpus, Dipterocarpus or Syzygium tree – in which to raise a single chick. When a suitable cavity is found, the female walls herself in, using mud supplied by her mate and regurgitated food, to hatch and rear her chick. The male feeds them for the next three months and, if he fails, both mother and chick may perish. The birds consume up to 80 different kinds of fruit, scattering the seeds over many hectares of forest. With other seed-distributing animals such as monkeys now scarce, the hornbill has become pivotal in maintaining the integrity of the forest. But the birds rarely spread the seeds of the trees in which they nest: if these disappear, the hornbills too will vanish – and the trees and plants they help propagate will soon follow.However.The hornbill programme is taking place against a violent background: the threat of terrorism from agitators hiding in the villages and forest, and the government’s counter-action. A mobile learning centre and trained educators is spreading word of the project to other villages and communities in the south of Thailand, while ex-poachers teach current poachers that a safer future for them and their families lies in regeneration rather than destruction and extermination. And researchers continue to document key relationships in the rain forest between plants, birds and animals.
In conclusion, the great hornbill plays a vital role in the Budo Mountian o Thailand.

The conservation of hornbill in India
Hornbill is a large and endangered bird which in the humid hill forest in the Western Ghats of South India. The possible reason to cause the hornbill to be extinct are due to the large-scale habitat loss, forest fragmentation, and poaching of adults and squabs from nests by local tribal people are some of the proposed factors.Large-bodies are thought to be extinct in the face of deforestation because of the spatiotemporal patchiness of their fruit resources and due to the jeopardized to the survival of many arborcal Frugivores, the fruit resources used by vertebrate needed guidelines for protection urgently because fruit preferences of different frugivorous animal taxa diverge widely and information on fruiting schedules must gathered from the perspective of a focal consumer species or guide rather than that for the entire frugivores community.
I identifying these fruiting species may have important conservation implication for the entire food web and once the food web cannot manage to be balance,it will affects the bird who lives around them too which they need to depend on and carry on their life. The fruit in Southwestern of India was consumed by the GPH and monitored in the rain forest habitat. The conservation of forest integrity to maintain compositions and densities of the lipid-rich fruit tree species utilized by the hornbill.

Total Defence Day
During the Total Defence Day celebration i was still spending my time in china and not back to Singapore yet so i did not really attend the celebration and actually it was quite a sad thing to me because as a foreign.I should have to know what event Singapore is going through and what the history behind it,or what makes the day to be found. In my primary school we did celebrate Total Defence Day and from that i have learned that no matter who you are, where you from,as long as you are in Singapore.we should standing all together to learn to defence our country and even to ourselves and to gain our responsibility to ourselves, other peoples and to the society too.So that we make sure there is no wars in Singapore.
Chinese new year
This year was quiet different from the usual year, that i celebrate my Chinese new year not in Singapore but my home town which is china. Those few days were like dreams to me because it past so fast. However i am really satisfy with the celebration there and spent my new year time with all my cousin, relative and of course my dear parents. We all sat down and have our reunion dinner together.I still remember i used to play with my cousin the whole days since i was about 7 but study had driven us apart that it hard for us to gather together, play and share our usual life to each others nowadays.Fortunately,we still can communicate by using the computer and phone but nothing is better than we see each others face to face. What i felt for my this new year celebration was very happy and fruitful, though i had stayed in china not more than four days but in these few days i really very happy and had learn to cherish the precious time with my family, not only that i was receive red packets from all of them! However, though it was happy but i have to said that i lost a chance celebrating new year in Singapore,in fact,i lost the chance to watch the performance in school and it makes me sad because i wanted to participate in it and it makes me looking forwards the next year of new year celebration.

Growth day @ sentosa
The growth day for me this year really impact me a lot and thank you so much for all the ITE students and teachers which had organised this event, making a chances for all the chong boonites to having fun and as the same time,we were growing. Still remember when the first moment when we reach the beach there, the sun was burning on the sky and make us really felt frustrate about it but as when we began to move one place to another with our own team mates, we getting excited about the games at each different places and all of us was so enjoy into it.When we tired,we can sat down on the soft sand and enjoy the beach and the people and the wind breeze towards us.What a wonderful way to relax our self. The main aim for this trip are to benefit us and let us grow and reflect on what we learn today.I think this was a better plan for this year growth day which compared to last year's growth day.

Personal Account
'Class, you need to be finish this test paper before the bell ring,so please get ready for the test'.Miss Lee,our science teacher said in a serious tone. The class was as silence as a grave after the paper has distributed and everyone of us were engross in our test paper, trying to do it as fast as we can before the bell ring.
I tried very hard to complete the question on the paper, but my mind tells me i cannot make it because i didn't take the responsibility to study the day before,so i was began to panic as the time started to seep away without warning.Suddenly, the word 'cheating' comes to my mind.I was hesitating if it really works on me but the angel of my head said,''no,it is not going to help you, indeed,it will lead you into troubles!''and the devil said,''come on!you are going to do this to save yourself from getting a zero. Now,slowly take out your text book and search for the answer!''The devil bewildered me and i slowly shift my book out under the desk and put it on to my leg.In fact, copying the answer to the test paper was quite satisfied than thinking so hard when my mind was totally blank.
However, the satisfactory was not last long.A sudden feeling comes to me and i turned around,Miss Lee glared at me with the eyes on fire and grabbed my hidden text book with all her strength.''see me after the lesson and don't you dare to do it again!''She yelled at me at the top of her voice and her words were like a thunderbolt out of a clear blue sky.I stared at her dumbfounded.Suddenly,i felt naked and ghastly and vulnerable in front of the whole class. Finally the bell ring, the lesson has ended and is time for me to face the reality.I chench my fist and bit my lower lip and forced myself pretended nothing happened before i walk into Miss Lee's office.
She looked at me with a merciless expression, wanting me to tell her the truth and i tried to shift my eyes from meeting hers.''Come in''she said seriously.I approached her gingerly and trembling with terror. She took out her phone and asking my father's number.I begged her desperately, trying to get a chance from her when i know that what i have done.Tears begins to streaked down my cheeks,my nose and eyes were drenched and I wiped them with the back of my sleeve.''i am so sorry for what i have done and please give me a chance to turn into a new leaf again.I promise you i will never do that again!''tears strangling my voice when i said to her.
Lastly, with my sincere of apologised, she accepted and had given me one more chance to correct for the mistake that i had been done. This incident really brought me a lesson that i would not do anything to embarrass myself again.

In 2010,secondary two is a challenge to me that i need to learn more things than in secondary one and,i feel like this year i am gonna have breakthrough in my study.Talking about my personal aspiration in this year,i think there's nothing i need to really wanted for because in the past few years,i use to be begging my parent for the unnecessary stuffs and this kind of habit is really very bad so i decide to change my personality of being a materialistic person but look forwards to a character that have a positive mind set and speak positively, because speaking negativity cancel out the possibility in our life. Also, leads me to the right ways of thinking because a thinking can effect your decision on things. This year,i am not going to beg my parents for things but if i really want to have it,i will use my result to get all this rewards from them, made them really proud of me.However, about the target setting in this year, not only aiming for the position of 4 in the class position at the end of years but to read more books and search more information about being how to promote into secondary three express is my targets too!so,in 2010,let me really work for it in order to achieve what i want.
